A 1940s Christmas Carol Starts
The Alvin Community College Drama Department will host the musical production of A 1940s Radio Christmas Carol on December 6-13.
The Christmas play is about an acting crew struggling to put on a production of A Christmas Carol over the radio.
“This play is a real holiday treat,” Drama Director Dr. Jay Burton said. “The show takes place in a New Jersey radio studio on Christmas Eve, 1943 in the middle of a snowstorm, and everything that can go wrong with a live radio broadcast does. It’s huge fun.”
Performances on December 6 and 11-13 will be at 8 p.m. There will be a 2:30 p.m. performance on December 7. To learn more about the auditions for the upcoming productions or to purchase tickets, visit www.alvincollege.edu/drama. You can also learn more by calling 281-756-3606.
